Technology That Treats More Than One Concern
At Texture & Tone Skin Studio, we use the Candela Nordlys® system, an advanced platform that combines selective waveband IPL with non-ablative fractional laser technology. This allows us to treat concerns like redness, visible vessels, sun damage, pigmentation, acne scarring, texture, pores, and early signs of aging with a more targeted approach than one-size-fits-all treatments. The Nordlys platform includes SWT® IPL technology and the 1550 nm fractional laser, which work differently but can also complement each other in the right treatment plan.

Targeted light for redness, pigment, and visible sun damage
Nordlys uses Selective Waveband Technology (SWT®) IPL, which is designed to deliver narrower, more targeted light compared with older broad-spectrum IPL systems. In practical terms, that means the treatment is built to focus more directly on excess pigment and visible vessels while limiting unnecessary wavelengths. This makes it especially useful for concerns such as brown spots, sun damage, freckles, redness, and superficial vascular irregularities.

Frax 1550™ Non-Ablative Fractional Laser
Collagen-focused resurfacing for texture and scars
The 1550 nm fractional laser is used for non-ablative resurfacing, meaning it works beneath the surface by creating controlled microscopic zones of thermal injury while leaving surrounding tissue intact. That healing response helps stimulate collagen remodeling, making it a strong option for concerns like acne scars, textural irregularities, enlarged pores, and fine lines. Because it is non-ablative, it offers resurfacing benefits without fully removing the top layer of skin.
The Nordlys system is a multi-application medical aesthetic device designed to treat a wide range of common skin concerns. Depending on the treatment selected, it can target unwanted pigment, visible redness, vascular concerns, and textural irregularities while supporting overall skin rejuvenation. One of its biggest strengths is that it allows treatments to be tailored more precisely to the concern being treated, rather than forcing every issue into the same category.
