Sound familiar?

You've tried the skincare, and the scar still shows.

  • A surgery or C-section scar that still shows
  • A scar that feels tight or raised
  • A scar a different colour from the skin around it
  • Skincare that didn't help

Scars sit in the collagen of the deeper layer. Frax 1550 prompts new collagen there.

Why it hasn't gone away

Your skin has layers. Skincare only reaches so far.

Frax 1550 reaches the collagen in the deeper layer, where scars sit.

How it works

How Frax 1550 treats surgical scars.

Frax 1550 is a non-ablative fractional laser. It treats thousands of microscopic columns and leaves the skin between them intact, which prompts new collagen.

Consultation

We assess your skin, confirm Frax 1550 is suitable, and plan the number of sessions.

Treatment

We apply numbing cream first. Skin looks pink for a few days, then rough or slightly bronzed as it renews.

Results

Results build over three to four months. Most people need four to five sessions, about a month apart.

Questions

Surgical scars FAQs.

How soon after surgery can I start?

You can start once the incision has healed and your surgeon has cleared you.

Will the scar disappear?

No. Frax 1550 prompts new collagen in the scar, but it won’t remove it.

Does it hurt?

We apply numbing cream first and give it time to work.

Is there downtime?

Your skin looks pink and can swell for a few days, then feels rough or looks slightly bronzed as it renews. Most people return to normal activities quickly. For the first week, wear SPF 30+ daily, stay out of direct sun, and pause actives like retinol, exfoliating acids and vitamin C. We’ll tell you when to restart them.

How many sessions will I need?

Most people need four to five sessions, about a month apart. Results build over three to four months.

I’m pregnant or breastfeeding.

We postpone laser during pregnancy. If you’re breastfeeding, we’ll talk it through.

What does it cost?

Scar treatment is from $200 per session.
