Sound familiar?

You've tried the skincare, and the spots are still there.

  • Sun spots that keep getting darker
  • Blotchy, uneven colour
  • Freckles from years of sun
  • Spots on the face, chest or hands
  • Skincare that didn't help

Sun spots form from pigment at the base of the top layer of skin. IPL light is absorbed by that pigment.

Why it hasn't gone away

Your skin has layers. Skincare only reaches so far.

IPL light is absorbed by the pigment at the base of the top layer, where sun spots form.

How it works

How IPL treats sun spots.

IPL light is absorbed by the pigment at the base of the top layer. Spots darken, then fade or flake off over one to two weeks.

Consultation

We assess your skin, check for melasma, confirm IPL is suitable, and plan the number of sessions.

Questions

Pigmentation & sun damage FAQs.

Does IPL hurt?

Each pulse feels like a quick, warm snap.

How many sessions will I need?

Most people need a series of sessions, about a month apart. We’ll confirm your number at the consultation.

Is there downtime?

No time off is needed. Most people go back to work or their day straight after. Your skin may look flushed and feel warm or sensitive for a day or two. Sun spots darken for a few days, then gradually fade or flake off over one to two weeks. For the first week, wear SPF 30+ daily, stay out of direct sun, and pause actives like retinol, exfoliating acids and vitamin C. We’ll tell you when to restart them.

What about melasma?

Melasma needs an assessment first, because IPL can make it worse. We check for it at your consultation.

Is IPL right for my skin tone?

We check your skin at the consultation and confirm whether IPL is suitable.

What does it cost?
