Redness and sun damage · after 3 IPL sessions

Sound familiar?

You've tried the skincare, and your tone is still uneven.

  • Dull, uneven tone
  • Redness and sun spots together
  • Small red veins
  • Colour that shows through makeup
  • Skincare that didn't help

Uneven tone comes from pigment at the base of the top layer and small blood vessels below it. IPL targets both.

Why it hasn't gone away

Your skin has layers. Skincare only reaches so far.

IPL reaches the pigment at the base of the top layer and the small blood vessels below it.

  2. Middle layerSmall blood vessels sit here.
  3. Deeper layerCollagen sits here: texture, scars and fine lines.

How it works

How IPL treats uneven tone.

IPL light is absorbed by pigment at the base of the top layer and by blood in small vessels. Sun spots fade, and redness clears over the following weeks.

Consultation

We assess your skin, confirm IPL is suitable, and plan the number of sessions.

Treatment

Each pulse feels like a quick, warm snap. Skin can look pink for a day or two, and sun spots darken first.

Results

Sun spots fade over one to two weeks, and redness over several weeks. Most people need a series of sessions.

Questions

Skin rejuvenation FAQs.

Does IPL hurt?

Each pulse feels like a quick, warm snap.

Is there downtime?

No time off is needed. Most people go back to work or their day straight after. Your skin may look flushed and feel warm or sensitive for a day or two. Sun spots darken for a few days, then gradually fade or flake off over one to two weeks. For the first week, wear SPF 30+ daily, stay out of direct sun, and pause actives like retinol, exfoliating acids and vitamin C. We’ll tell you when to restart them.

How many sessions will I need?

Most people need a series of sessions. We’ll confirm your number at the consultation.

Can it be combined with Frax?

Yes. Our Texture & Tone Treatment uses IPL and Frax 1550 in one full-face session.

Is IPL right for my skin tone?

We check your skin at the consultation and confirm whether IPL is suitable.

What does it cost?

IPL rejuvenation is from $299 per session.
